Ron Scolesdang is a dedicated public servant and family man running for Mayor of Irvine in 2024. With over 20 years of experience in business, martial arts, and community service, he has the skills and passion to lead our city forward. Ron's top priorities as Mayor will be Community, Public Safety, Seniors, Business Support and Greener Irvine. As an owner of multiple successful businesses, He plans to run the City of Irvine the same way; build the proper team, plan effectively, and execute accordingly.
KEY ISSUES
COMMUNITY Ron has dedicated his life to building, maintaining, and servicing his community wherever he goes. He has had the ability to help change hundreds of lives in person, thousands of lives online, and now wants to expand that to the 300,000 residents of Irvine and beyond.
PUBLIC SAFETY While Irvine ranks one of the safest cities in the country, we have seen an uptick in crime over the past few years. We have seen a rise in robberies, burglaries, and attacks on the elderly commmunity. Investing in our Police and supporting their efforts will keep up safe. Equipping our citizens with proper tools and education will also help.
SENIORS Ron has been raised to respect and take care of his elders. He feels our senior citizen community is not supported enough. He wants to show them that we care and love them by giving them a bigger voice and provide programs that will make them feel more safe in Irvine.
BUSINESS Ron knows that small businesses are the backbone of our local economy. As Mayor, he will roll out the red carpet for those businesses and cut the red tape. When small businesses in Irvine thrive, we all thrive.
ENVIRONMENT As we look towards a sustainable future for Irvine, we will expand investments in renewable energy, cleaner commuting options, enhance our public spaces with more greenery, and improve recycling and waste management practices. Together, we can foster a community that thrives economically while preserving our environment for generations to come.
